The municipality is well located: by car, it takes 2 hours and 35 minutes to Oslo, 3 hours to Gothenburg, and 4 hours to Stockholm. You can easily commute by train or bus from our travel center. A car ride to Karlstad takes just 20 minutes.

We’re climbing in safety rankings thanks to our successful preventive work between schools, social services, youth centers, and the police. We strive to be an attractive and innovative municipality that offers a high quality of life to all residents.

Grums Municipality is the largest employer and offers career opportunities in around 150 professions.

Grums is part of the Vänern Cooperation and Business Region Värmland and is included in the Karlstad Region. Since 2007, we’ve steadily climbed in the Swedish Confederation of Enterprise’s business climate rankings, and for several years we’ve topped the list for “Best Business Climate” and “Best Growth Municipality” in Värmland.
