Live in the Center or in the Countryside

In Kil, you can choose whether you want to live in the countryside or in the town center. Either way, you're close to both services and nature. In the central town, you'll find houses and apartments within walking and biking distance to leisure activities, health care, the library, schools and childcare, shops, restaurants, and public transport. Here, children can gradually grow and take on responsibility. The municipality has several preschools and elementary schools, including in rural areas. The junior high school in central Kil brings together all students from across the municipality.

Fagerås is a smaller locality with its own travel center where buses and trains stop. It has a gas station, a popular pizzeria, a newer school, and a sports hall. Högboda is the hub of a vibrant rural area north of Kil. Here you'll find a cinema, school, preschool, and an active village association deeply committed to developing the community.
