“Not a day without progress” was a motto coined by Billerud’s CEO Christian Storjohann in the early 1900s, and it’s clear that this spirit has shaped the area ever since. For over 100 years, Säffle has been a hub of innovation. Here, highly specialized measuring instruments, world-class valves, and custom machinery for coating paper and cardboard are produced. Säffle is also home to the production of paper free from fluorochemical additives. The town boasts a high level of technical expertise and is at the forefront of creating sustainable technological solutions.
